Advanced Price Film Big In Chicago Neighborhoods The average neighborhood theatre patron in Chicago, in improved financial condition and accustomed to paying higher prices, is accepting an advance admission picture in neighborhood theatres, full-week test performances of "The Song of Bernadette" in 18 theatres indicate. When the Balaban and Katz circuit here turned down the picture for its neighborhood houses, Essaness circuit bought it for two of its major theatres on the West and North Side, while Warners introduced it at the Capital on the South Side. Both gross receipts and attendance figures topped the theatres' average double bill week. As a result, some 150 other neighborhood houses are scheduled to play the picture at $1.10 top for three to four midweek days starting November 12, A. M.
