S. in both countries to further relations , between the two nations. i Mancuso Returns from Pacific ■ Chief Petty Officer Ben Mancuso, formerly with! Cosmo-Sileo Company, industry photographers, arrived in New York last week from the Pacific area for a leave after two years of action. He was last in the Philippines, where he landed with the first assault troops at Leyte. He holds two Presidential Citations, a Commendation Ribbon for Wake Island and the Air Medal for more than ISO combat hours in the air. WLB Will Hear RKO Dispute The War Labor Board has set January 16 for for a hearing in New York on the contract dispute between RKO and the Motion Picture Theatre Operating Managers and Assistant Managers Guild, representing managers and their assistants in 40 RKO houses in the Metropolitan New York area. The dispute was certified to the board after RKO and the Guild failed to reach an agreement on a contract. Quiz Theatre Fire Suspect A youth believed to have been responsible for the fire in the Broadway theatre, Charlotte, N. C, last Tuesday, in which six firemen were injured, has been questioned by the police there in connection with four previous fires in the Broadway and Charlotte, and a blaze at the Carolina the week before. H. F. Kincey, head of the Kincey theatre chain, assisted officers in questioning the suspect. Levy Named to Disney Post Charles Levy, former manager of the RKO advertising and publicity department's special feature service division, has been named publicity director in New York for Walt Disney Productions, effective January 2, it was announced by Roy Disney, executive vice-president. Prior to joining RKO in 1937, Mr. Levy was with the Hearst newspapers in New York and other cities for 10 years. Warner Mansfield House Falls Warners' 9S0-seat Majestic theatre, Mansfield, Ohio, closed since June 1943, collapsed December 27, from an accumulation of ice and snow on the roof. All equipment was destroyed, with the loss estimated at $75,000. Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Honored Lieutenant Commander Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., has received the Legion of Merit for "exceptionally meritorious conduct," during the invasion of southern France, the Navy Department announced December 29.
