THIS WEEK the Camera reports 20TH CENTURY-FOX TO CELEBRATE THIRTY YEARS old in April. Twentieth CenturyFox will celebrate the birthday with International ceremonies and a sales drive. The celebration was announced Monday by Tom Connors, vice-president in charge of sales. He has named Herman Wobber, coast division manager, drive leader. In the picture above, at the New York exchange, Mr. Wobber, meeting with local personnel, is seen, at the table, with top executives. Left to right, William Kupper, general sales manager; A. W. Smith, Jr., eastern sales manager, and Mr. Connors. The Fox Corporation began producing in 1915, at the Fort Lee studio; then opened a second studio in New York; later, it shifted production to California. It merged with 20th Century Productions in 1935; Joseph M. Schenck and Darryl F. Zanuck took the reins, and many new stars arrived. EXHIBITORS HONORED by Governor. Governor Ellis Arnall, of Georgia, center, with four of the 75 showmen to whom he presented "medals of honor" for Sixth War Loan effort. R. E. Martin, Oscar C. Lam, J. H. Thompson, and Willis Davis flank the Governor. Mr. Thompson was Sixth War Loan chairman for the state of Georgia during the most recent of the Bond drives.
