We use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) during our scanning and processing workflow to make the content of each page searchable. You can view the automatically generated text below as well as copy and paste individual pieces of text to quote in your own work.

Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Many parts of the scanned page may not be reflected in the OCR text output, including: images, page layout, certain fonts or handwriting.

VIVIAN MARTIN Unusual significance is attached to the way Vivian decided to go upon the stage. At the age of six she gazed into a mirror, threw her dolls aside and dedicated herself to Art. She began by playing a kiddie with Richard Mansfield in "Cyrano de Bergerac." Other juvenile work finally led up to playing Maude Adams' role in "Peter Pan" on the road. Vivian soon became a favorite ingenue and, of course, the screen and Paramount finally won her. i
