Mr. Pearl's further advancement has met with aniinous approbation from the entire ilhe organization because of his record foresightedness in business matters and ~ "square deal" policy for all, which con iiorms markedly with the precepts of 'iVesident Brunet. \t a meeting of the Pathe Board of .'irectors last week, a management Com Tiittee was authorized, which will be comijttjDrised of the President, \'ice President, Secretary, (ieneral }klanager and Assist mt General Manager. Bernard Benson, of the well known banking house of Merrill, L}ncli ii: Co., who for about two years has been a member of the Pathe Executive Committee, was elected Vice President. Mr. Benson brings to Pathe a wide and unusual knowledge of business and finance. John Humm, for the last seven years identified with the Pathe organization, and for several years past its auditor and member of the executive committee becomes Assistant General Manager, under the new order of management as directed by Mr. Brunet. Into his larger field of activities Mr. Humm brings a knowledge of the affairs of Pathe that could be possible only to one who has been both Auditor and member of the l^xecutive Committee. Three very important units in the smoothly functioning Pathe machine, who will continue to administer their offices, as well as their posts on the Executive Committee, in their usual efficient manner, are : Lewis Innerarity, Secretary, who since September, 1918, has carefully and successfully handled the reins of the secre taryship, and guided the legal department through many important law engagements. Mr. Innerarity is an expert on all questions pertaining to censorship. .\rthur E. Rousseau, Export Manager, wiio has l)een a member of the Pathe executive family for several years, and whose knowledge of the Export trade has held Pathe foremost in this department of the motion picture industry. G. L. Chanier, General Superintendent of Factories, who has developed this post into a highly .specialized position, the importance of which cannot be overestimated. Mr. Pearson's record with Pathe is one that pays tribute not only to his own ability, but to the faithfulness with which Pathe adheres to its policy of promoting from within its own ranks. He began with Pathe as a salesman. He rapidly climbed the ladder of success, stepping first into a branch managership. In June of 1919, he came to the home office as Feature Sales Manager.
