The biggest thing I've played in ages — but business was a little disappointing, doubtless due to bad weather. (East.) The picture did such a good business that it was held over for a second week's run. (Middle West.) Capacity business all week, 20,(XX) people at four houses on opening day. Patrons liked production. (East.) The cast of famous stars and amusement value of story make this picture a sure fire box office success. Did big business for week. (Middle West.) Scores (East.) in splendid manner. Two weeks' run to good business and pleased audiences. (West.) Wonderful picture. Did a record business. Worth extended engagement. (Middle West.) Great picture. Did fine business. (West.) This one went over the top in great shape. Had the largest box office receipts in months, (\^'est.) Cappy Ricks — A nice, light picture which is capably acted. Good box office attraction. (Middle West.) A very fine picture on which wc had good business. (West.) Passing Thru — Found this to be a good feature, with much entertainment, and good box office value. (West.) The Great Impersonation — Went across dandy. (East.) At the End of the World — This picture was the recipient of more commendation than any picture we have shown for the last two months. (East.) The Princess of New York — Very mediocre picture and business bad. (East.) The Whistle— The picture appealed especially to laboring classes and drew a good attendance. (Middle West.) The Faith Healer — Had very poor business with this picture. (West.) Footlights — We had good business on this picture. I consider it a very fine production and it pleased my patrons. (West.) Sentimental Tommy — Poor business with this feature as it is not the kind of picture that our patrons want. (Middle West.) FIRST NATIONAL A Midnight Bell — Charles Ray's popularity here always assures a good house. Good crowds for a week's run. (Middle West.) Bits of Life Very good. Business only fair, however. (East.) Serenade — Big success. Receipts O. K. Received as " old-time " stuff with pull. (East.) The Child Thou Gavest Me— One of the most improbable plots ever seen in a picture. The long arm of coincidence is overworked. Nevertheless, this is a first class melodrama which keeps up the suspense to the last minute. Drew well. (Middle West.) The Heart of a Fool — Old time melodramatic picture, with good cast, fairly good drawing card. (East.) The Sign on the Door — A good picture. Norma Talmadge at her best, and business exceptionally good. (East.) The Sky Pilot — As a film play and business proposition— only fair. (East.) Mamma's Affair — Second week. Business mediocre. (East.) REALART Everything for Sale — Good little picture, with a star who is a comer. She'll deliver the goods all right. Business fair. (East.) Little Italy — Miss Brady helps to put over a picture which has a rather trite plot. Fairly good attraction. (Middle West.)' One Wild Week— No better picture for Bebe Daniels. Did good business. (Middle West.) Moonlight and Honeysuckle — A good week's business and satisfied patrons on this picture. (Middle West.) METRO The Man Who— Likeable picture, star takes very good, good drawing card and pleased audience. (East.) Picture only fairly popular, and business mediocre. (East.) Life's Darn Funny — Fairly good picture with pleasant little star. Not extra drawing attraction. (East.) The Four Horsemen of the A pocalypse — Three week run to good business and satisfied audiences. (West.) FOX The Night Horsemen — One of Mix's best. Drew big houses. (Middle West.) Tom Mix's greatest, and drew well. (East.) Fairly good entertainment. Had average business. (West.) When a Man Sees Red — One of the best of Farnum's pictures and a mighty good drawing card. (East.) After Your Own Heart — A fair production which brought the usual attendance at mv house. (West.) The Primal Law — Picture pleases, and business fair. (East.) GOLDWYN The Old Nest— Positively a wonderful picture, and we stood them out for a block. (East.) Fine feature with tremendous heart appeal. Went over big at this house. (Middle West.) The picture ran for three weeks, doing a record business for this time of the year. (Middle West.) Well worth seeing. Receipts fair (East.) Ace of Hearts — Fine. Featured Lon Chaney, and because of his great part in " The Penalty," " The Miracle Man " and " Outside the Law," all of which I featured in my ads, the picture drew exceptionally well. (East.) The Invisible Power — Excellent picture which did good Inisiness for week. (Middle West.) Very good production. Had fine business on it during run. (West.) UNIVERSAL Moonlight Follies — ^ Marie Prevost's first picture was t well liked by our audience, but not much as a drawing card. (East.) Outside the Law — Positively a big drawing card, Priscilla always drew big, but she outdid herself in this picture (East.) No JFoman Knows — Picture went over pretty well and attracted more than usual business. (West.) PATHE What Women Will DoNice little picture, but Anna Xilsson's fans didn't like her role. Picture drew fairly well, nothing to get excited about. (East.) / DoHarold Lloyd was funnier than ever. Patrons were delighted. (East.) SELZNICK Is Life Worth Living? — Pleased mightily, both as regards i receipts and attendances. (East.) PoppyGood — both entertainment value and box office value. (West.) STATE RIGHTS Burn 'Em Up Barnes — Wonderful box office attraction. Really a great picture. (East.) Kingfishers Roost — One of Xeal Hart's best pictures. Good drawing card. (East.) ROBERTSON-COLE Good W omen — Good picture and good receipts. (East.) VITAGRAPH Moral Fibre — Average picture which failed tc pull heavilv at box office. Business slightly off. (Middle West.) WARREN Girl From God's Country — Fair picture. Business aboui average. (West.) UNITED ARTISTS Carnival — Pulled off in middle of run oi account of poor pulling qualities ( East.)
