' ' Without a word, but with a face filled with the wonder and terror of an infinite force which menaced him, Dagban turned and walked away. For a long while Eric stood still, his emotions conflicting, his face twitching. A tear finally stole down his cheek. He lifted his arms high over his head and cried out the single word "God!'
