Five of the 200 games on the FBO-Warner team and three from United Artists. Comer’s three fine games gave him a 661 total which cops first place to date. He certainly put up a mark for the boys to shoot at. Art Stolte bowling for the first time in the Omaha league got off to a flying start. Not wishing to show the boys up too badly, Art eased up in the other 2 games and took a 461 total. Ben Fletcher, also a first nighter for this season, did real well. Ben and Art were both on the Pathe team. Ben said they were the first and only ones to ask him to bowl so he took them up. If there is anyone else that cares to bowl that hasn’t been asked, speak up. We’ll find a place for you somewhere. Comer 190 Fletcher 149 Gorham 1 82 McLucas 147 Hensley 179 Harms 146 Cross 176 McBride 144 Weitz 163 Fangman 143 Bierman 161 M. Judging from their scores Leon got the best of it as he shot an even 500 which is his best score this year. Frank beat him by 2 pins but 502 isn’t so good for Frank. Malchaw with a 51 pin handicap got hot and rolled way over his head with games of 156-166-198. These games of his certainly helped the Paramount team to cop about 3 from FBO-Warner. Gus Diamond whose 109 average caused a lot of comment finally ended up with low score of the evening — 103. Metro-Goldwyn had a change of heart and came back in the league. They were properly received by the United Artists-First National team who took 2 out of three from them and dropped the last game by only 6 pins. Gilda Gray has long been noted as a wonderful dancer and for her ability to go through motions that no other dancer could accomplish. Were Miss Gray to attend the Film ladies bowling league surely she could get some mighty fine and original ideas by watching the fair bowlers in their attempts to con¬ trol the ball after it has started down the alley. Friedel formerly took all the honors along that line but he isn’t in the running any more. “THE PRIMROSE PATH” and “MY LADY OF WHIMS” ARE BOX OFFICE KNOCKOUTS
