Fig. 2 shows the walk ol Oswald Rabbit and further illustrates timing, while Figs. 3 and 4 show the proper treatment of backgrounds. Note that in both backgrounds there is an area which is light in tone and free from detail and against which the character can work freely. The holes at the top of the backgrounds fit over pins that hold both backgrounds and "cells" in registration for the camera.
