The newly-weds are pestered to death by hubby's prying relatives — a marvelous collection of freaks. They are driven all over the house in search of a quiet nook until the cook breaks out with a terrible rash — cranberry sauce — and the relatives stampede for parts unknown.
THE HIGH TIDE OF MISFORTUNE

Mary's uncle and his son are released from jail and they discover, through Billy Peart, that she is in the Salvation Army mission. She is tricked into boarding a schooner and carried off to Martha's Vineyard, but escapes in a small boat and rows to the lighthouse.
