It’s difficult to imagine those straightforward eyes dodging the police, but “in the movies they do it” — that is, in this particular movie “Too A SUDDEN crime wave has /I invaded t h e Paramount West Coast studio! Under the guidance of three famous authorities upon underworld life, Mildred Davis, Lloyd Hughes, Georges Bancroft and El Brendel are receiving daily instructions in the gentle art of picking pockets, cracking safes and doing second story work for their roles in “ Too Many Crooks,” whcih Fred N ewmeyer is directing.
