Thanks for helping us continually improve the quality of the Lantern search engine for all of our users! We have millions of scanned pages, so user reports are incredibly helpful for us to identify places where we can improve and update the metadata.

We use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) during our scanning and processing workflow to make the content of each page searchable. You can view the automatically generated text below as well as copy and paste individual pieces of text to quote in your own work.

Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Many parts of the scanned page may not be reflected in the OCR text output, including: images, page layout, certain fonts or handwriting.

An examination of the assignment records of the United States Library of Congress disclosed certain assignments which were made by GEBETHNER & WOLFF to the SESAC. Copies of these assignments, marked Exhibits 50 to 58 inclusive, are attached to and made a part of this report. Reciprocal copyright agreements between the United States and Poland were completed on February 14, 1927. The first copyright entries of GEBETHNER & WOLFF recorded in the Library of Congress appear in the year 1934, the year during which the SESAC began to license broadcasting stations for the performance of music. The selections contained in the catalog of GEBETHNER & WOLFF probably have a certain per¬ formance value to those radio broadcasters who cannot operate in the public interest, convenience and necessity without using this type of Polish music. 52
