A special meeting of NAEB will b© held In conjunction with the Institute, so be sure to save these dates and plan on attending, MEXICO RATIFIES BROADCAST AGREEMENT The Federal Communications Commission has been notified officially that the North American Regional Broadcast Agreement was ratified by the Mexican Senate on December 28th, This agreement which was promulgated at the First Inter-American Radio Conference held at Havana in 1937 has now beer ratified by five countries — Canada, Cuba, Haiti, Mexico and the United States ■» and with the ratification by Mexico it can now be made effective* Many interference problems which have developed between stations in the North American countries will be eliminated by the allo¬ cation provided In the Treaty,, DATA SUPPLIED BY RCA Ro E e Rawlins, Jr., Director of KUSD, University of South Dakota, writes that the information supplied by the radio recording division of RCA on the new orthoacoustic recording system was quite hexpful to him. He suggests that every engineer should know the data whioh RCA supplied and if you do not have them, you should get a oopy*. RCA will g-ladly send you complete information and probably also a tone test record to aid you in making adjustments in your equipment so you may properly reproduce the orthoacoustio recording. ITEMS IN FREC SERVICE B UDIETIN The Service Bulletin of the FREC for December has a number of interesting items. One story tells about the work being done by the Cleveland eohools. Another tells about the program of radio being produced'at the University of Michigan under the direction of Waldo Abbot. Still another item tells about the series »The Family Life Radio Forum 1 ' which is being carried by MAD* Harold Engel, WHA, also draws comments on page 1.
