Office of Executive Secretary Urbana, Illinois December 15, 1940 I \ NAEB MEETS IN CHICAGO The National Association of Educational Broadcasters held a meetin December 5, 1940 in the Auditorium Hotel, Chicago, Illinois with President II. G. Ingham presiding. Possible places to hold the next annual convention were discussed by the membership. The executive secretary was directed to poll the membership regarding dates and places with a view to holding the meeting some time in June and at some quiet spot rather than in a metropolitan area. The secretary was also instructed to secure an early response from the F.C.C. regarding the special interpretations sought by the educational stations two-thirds of the assigned hours. A general discussion of the possibilities of frequency modulation was then held. The convention unanimously endorsed Dr. Arthur G. Crane, President of the University of Wyoming, as a person qualified to fill the present vacancy on the F.C.C.
