NBC TRADE NEWS OFFICERS FOR 1952 ARE ELECTED BY NBC’S SPAC AT FIRST MEETING OF TWO-DAY SESSIONS Officers for the year were elected at the first quarterly meeting of NBC's 1952 Stations Planning and Advisory Committee , which convened in New York City, Tuesday, April 29. The election took place at the morning closed session, fol¬ lowing welcoming addresses by Joseph H. McConnell, NBC president, and Harry Bannister, NBC vice president in charge of Station Relations. P.A. Sugg, manager of radio station WKY, Oklahoma City, Okla., was elected chairman; Richard 0. Dunning, president and general man¬ ager of radio station KHQ, Spokane, Wash., secretary for radio; E.R, Vadeboncoeur, vice president and general manager of station WSYR-TV, Syracuse, N.Y., vice chairman, and Lee B. Wailes, executive vice pres¬ ident of the Fort Industry Station, WSPD-TV, Toledo, Ohio, secretary for TV. Other members of the 1952 SPAC present were: B.T, Whitmire, general manager of WFBC, Greenville, S.C.; Ralph Evans, executive vice president of Central Broadcasting Co., representing WHO, Des Moines, and WOC, Davenport, Iowa; Robert B. Hanna, Jr., manager of Broadcast¬ ing Stations Dept., WGY, Schenectady, N.Y.; Allan M. Woodall, president of WDAK, Columbus, Ga.; Ed Yocum, general manager, KGHL, Billings, Mont.; Willard C. Worcester, vice president and general manager, WIRE, Indianapolis, Ind.; Martin Campbell, general manager, WFAA-TV, Dallas, Texas, and Stanley E. Hubbard, president and general manager, KSTP-TV, Minneapolis-St . Paul, Minn. After lunch, the entire committee reconvened to view NBC's "Summer Radio" presentation, and then split into separate radio and television groups to meet with network officials representing each medium. Today's meeting (Wednesday, April 30) consisted of a closed committee session in the morning, followed by separate radio and TV discussion sessions between SPAC members and network representatives. o NBC -New York, 4/30/52
