NBC television must provide four separate voice feeds from its headquarters in the International Amphitheatre to accompany the picture of the convention proceedings. During the Pennsylvania delegation caucus Wednesday night, engineers ran video and audio cables down to the sergeant -at -arms » office to give NBC televiewers and radio listeners the complete story of the decision to back General Eisenhower. Engineers worked fever¬ ishly to install the cables. A telecast of the session went on the air. The delegation recessed. Then electricians pulled the cables to use them elsewhere. Not two hours later, they had to re-run the half
mile of wires to report Pennsylvania * s deliberations again.

Ordinarily NBC-TV feeds two hours of programs originating in Eastern television centers to the West coast stations each day. During the G.O.P. convention NBC-TV is feeding an average of ten hours of coverage daily to the West.
