At 2:41 the network switched back to the Blackstone, and at 2:44 to the convention floor with a picture taken from NBC's booth swung high in the air above the speaker's platform. Two minutes later the super-mobile unit was back on the air until 2:49, when NBC switched to the Amphitheatre floor while Bill Henry announced that Eisenhower would not appear before the convention until that night.
Thereafter NBC switched from one camera to another in the following order:
2:53 - A shot of the sidewalk outside the Hilton where a platform is being built for the demonstration;
2:53:50 - Convention Hall.
2:54 p.m. - To an exclusive shot of the NBC-TV skylift cam¬ era outside the Amphitheatre to picture delegates filing out of the
