However: with the conviction that marriage remains the most popular domestic arrangement between friendly people, NBC takes pleasure in presenting one of the most distinguished couples of the American Theatre, Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn, in the new dramatic series, 'The Marriage,.'" The Cronyns are heard as Mr. and Mrs. Ben (Liz) Marriott, who live in New York, have been married 17 years and have two children, Emily, 15, and Pete, 10. Ben is a lawyer, "about half way up in the firm," as he puts it, and Liz 4s a former department store fashion buyer, long since retired for full-time housewifery.
