Saturday, Sept, 17 The opening game in NBC-TV's series of national inter¬ collegiate football telecasts shapes up as a real corker, matching the always colorful Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech against the highly touted Hurricanes of the University of Miami. This contest, moreover, will be the first football game ever telecast in color. The outlook for Bobby Dodd's Tech team is quite bright, for 21 lettermen have returned from the ' 54 outfit which won seven of 10 and then whipped Arkansas, 14-6, in the Cotton Bowl on New Year's Day. The opener with Miami, of course, represents one of the most formida¬ ble obstacles to be faced by the Jackets all season. Tech’s veteran line will be spearheaded by Franklin Brooks, 192 -pound senior guard and one of the finest in Tech history.
