NBC TRADE NEWS SENIOR BOWL GRID GAME TO BE TELECAST FIRST TIME NBCTV TO COVER I958 CLASH OP ALL-STAR SQUADS The annual Senior Bowl all-star football game in Mobile, Ala,, will be televised for the first time Saturday, Jan, 11, at 3 p.m., EST, by the National Broadcasting Company, The NBC-TV coverage of the 1958 game was announced today by J. Finley McRae, president of the Mobile Arts and Sports Association, which spon¬ sors the game, and Tom S, Gallery, NBC Sports Director. The Senior Bowl, pitting all-star squads from the North and South against each other, will be played in the 38,000capacity Ladd Memorial Stadium, The game marks the professional football debut of the 50 participating players, with members of the winning team receiving $500 and the losers $400 each. Since the Senior Bowl is played after the other bowl and all-star con¬ tests, many of the standout performers of those games can participate .
