3 NBC* 3 Winter Sports Schedule NBC-TV’s basketball coverage this V/lnter also will include regional telecasts of 10 Pacific Coast Conference games, starting Saturday, Jan. 4. They will be seen only in National Collegiate Athletic Association District 8, which comprises California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Nevada. The seven-week ’’Racing from Hialeah" card will start Saturday, Jan. l8. In addition to NBC-TV's half-hour coverage, NBC Radio will carry the call of the race, starting a few minutes before post time. The final two races in the series will be $100,000-added events, the Widener Handicap Saturday, Feb. 22 and the Flamingo Stakes Saturday, March 1. The final round of the first World's Invitational MatchGame Bowling Championship Tournament will be covered by NBC-TV and NBC Radio Friday, Dec. 13 (10 to 11 p.m., EST) at the Chicago Coliseum. The bowling tourney will be the "Gillette Cavalcade of Sports" presentation that night, but the regular Friday night series of boxing bouts will resume Dec. 20.
