TRADE NEWS JAMES G. HERGEN APPOINTED DIRECTOR OP NBC TELESALES AND WILLIAM F. STORKE SUCCEEDS HIM AS DIRECTOR OP PARTICIPATING PROGRAM SALES FOR NBC-TV NETWORK FOR RELEASE MONDAY A.M. APRIL 20 James G. Hergen, Director of Participating Program Sales for the NBC Television Network, has been appointed Director of NBC TeleSales, it was announced today by Robert L. Stone, Vice President, Facilities Operations. At the same time, Jerry A. Danzig, Vice President, Partici¬ pating Programs, announced that William F. Storke, Administrator of Participating Program Sales, would succeed Mr. Hergen as Director of Participating Program Sales. Both appointments are effective immediately. Mr. Hergen will be in charge of all commercial tape produc¬ tion and closed circuits. He will report to Mr. Stone. Mr. Hergen joined the NBC Television Network sales depart¬ ment in April, 1954. He was promoted to Sales Supervisor of Partici¬ pating Programs ("Today," "Home" and "Tonight") in December, 1955. Two years later he was named Manager of Participating Program Sales, and in February, 1959> became Director.
