CHARLES BIRO, NBC GRAPHIC ARTS ILLUSTRATOR, IS WINNER OP COMPANY-WIDE SAFETY CONTEST Charles Biro, an illustrator in Graphic Arts of the National Broadcasting Company, has been selected as winner of a recent company-wide safety contest, it was announced by Drew Van Daram, Manager, NBC Training and Safety. A group of safety posters designed by Mr. Biro won the unanimous praise of the NBC Safety Advisory Group. The award, an RCA Globetrotter transistor radio, was presented to Mr. Biro by William A. Clarke, Director of Facilities Administra¬ tion, chairman of the 12-member group. Several hundred entries were submitted. The contest was the first of a series to be conducted by NBC as part of a program to make employees more safety conscious, Mr. Van Damm said. NBC -New York, 3/14/61
