June 7> 1961 HIGHLIGHTS OP ’’JACQUELINE KENNEDY'S JOURNEY" AND IMPACT ON PEOPLE OF EUROPE TO BE SHOWN IN NBC NEWS SPECIAL The impact that Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy made on the people of Europe when she accompanied President Kennedy to Paris, Vienna and London will be shown in an NBC News special program, "Jacqueline Kennedy's Journey," Sunday, June 11 (5:30-6 p.m. EDT) on the NBC-TV Network. Frank McGee will be anchorman for this "NBC Special News Report," which will be sponsored by the Gulf Oil Corporation. Chet Hagan will produce and Robert Priaulx will direct the program. Highlights of Mrs. Kennedy's entire trip, including her separate five-day visit to Greece, will be covered in specially filmed or taped sequences. NBC News White House correspondent Sander Vanocur and NBC News London correspondent Robin McNeil will describe Mrs. Kennedy's activities. McNeil and a separate camera crew were assigned to report on the President's wife because of her own busy schedule and the great interest she holds for American television viewers. Mrs. Kennedy, who captivated audiences everywhere by her beauty and charm, will be shown at the state functions she attended with the President and also during such separate activities as her visit to Ecole de Puericulture, a hospital for premature infants, and her reception for French and American newswomen. Of special interest to women viewers will be Mrs. Kennedy's wardrobe of fashions by famous designers which will be shown in the various sequences. o
