JNTBC TELEVISION NETWORK NEWS May 1, 1963 NBC -TV WINS 58 EMMY NOMINATIONS-MORE THAN ANY OTHER NETWORK NBC News Scores High--Network Wins 2 of 4 Nominations for 'Program of the Year* The NBC-TV Network won 58 nominations for Emmy Awards — more than any other network - in the 15th annual competition of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, it was announced to¬ day. Winners in the 30 categories to be determined by the votes of Academy members will be announced on "The Emmy Awards" show Sunday, May 26 on NBC-TV (10 to 11:30 p.m. EDT) . NBC made a clean sweep of all five nominations for documentaries. NBC News also received more than half the nominations in the field of international reporting or commentary. Five out of six nominations for art direction and scenic design and four out of six nominations in the field of children's programming also were won by NBC-TV. In the regional competition for "the Station Award," a new category this year, NBC-TV affiliate stations won half the nominations. NBC-TV won two of the four nominations for "Program of the Year." The NBC programs were "The Tunnel," and "The Danny Kaye Show with Lucille Ball."
