Y. 10020 August 25, 1964 NBC INTERNATIONAL DUBBING 26 TV SERIES INTO FOREIGN LANGUAGES FOR OVERSEAS VIEWERS NBC International, a division of NBC Enterprises, is the leader in the field of dubbing television programs into foreign languages. James Dodd, Manager, Sales Service, NBC Enterprises, said today that NBC is dubbing 26 series, more than any one of the other foreign film suppliers. The largest group of films is being dubbed into Spanish for distribution in South America, Central America and Spain. "Bonanza" is being dubbed into Spanish for its fifth year and "Dr. Kildare" its fourth. Other series dubbed into Spanish are: "Astro Boy," "The Richard Boone Show," "Car 54, Where Are You?," "The Bill Dana Show," "Wild Kingdom," "King Leonardo," "Samurai" and "Adventures of Pow Wow." A number of pilots is also being dubbed into Spanish for presentation in the Latin American countries, these include: "Profiles In Courage," "Kentucky Jones" and "90 Bristol Court." Portuguese dubbed shows are: "Bonanza" (second year), "Dr. Kildare" (second year), "Loretta YOung Theatre," "Tab Hunter Show," "National Velvet" and 26 one-hour documentaries. French-dubbed series include: "Bonanza," "The Dick Powell Theatre," "The Jim Backus Show" and "Panic." German dubbing includes "Dr. Kildare," "Bonanza" and "Laramie." Dubbing is a process in which film dialogue in one language is translated into another language.
