NBC TRADE NEWS ’TODAY* SHOWS FIRST FILMS OF TRUMANS' HOMECOMING The first films of the homecoming to Independence, Mo., of former President Harry S. Truman were shown this morning (Jan. 22) on the NBC -TV network show, "Today." The exclusive NBC films were taken by cameraman Bill Birch who accompanied the Truman family on the train trip home from the White House, The reel was flown from Independence to NBC Chicago, where it was narrated by NBC commentator Jack Angel. Included were Mr. Truman’s speech to his townspeople and the great ovation given him on his arrival.
