NBC TELEVISION NETWORK NEWS January 15, 1964 JAMES GARNER TO BE HOST OP 'INSIDE THE MOVIE KINGDOM-1 964 , 1 90-MINUTE SPECIAL ON THE NBC-TV NETWORK James Garner has been set by producer Milton Fruchtman to host the 90-minute special "inside the Movie Kingdom1964 , " which will be presented on the NBC-TV Network Friday, March 20 (9:30-11 p.m. EST). The special will be produced by Sextant Inc., in association with the editors of Life Magazine. One of the screen's top boxoffice attractions and one of television's best-known personalities, James Garner first attained stardom in the title role of the long-run TV series, "Maverick." His popularity led to motion picture offers, and he has followed his TV success with starring roles in such motion picture hits as the two films in which he has starred with Doris Day, "The Thrill of It All" and "Move Over, Darling," and "The Great Escape." He is currently completing "The Americanization of Emily" at M-G-M. In addition to hosting the TV show, he will appear with Julie Andrews and Melvyn Douglas in a sequence already filmed between working sessions of that production.
