]STBC TRADE NEWS January 24, 1964 EDUCATORS ACROSS COUNTRY INVITED TO CLOSED-CIRCUIT ADVANCE VIEWING OF 'ABE LINCOLN IN ILLINOIS,' HALLMARK COLOR DRAMA Educators across the country are being invited to attend a closed-circuit advance screening of NBC-TV's "Hallmark Hall of Fame" color presentation, "Abe Lincoln in Illinois," Saturday, Feb. 1. The program will be telecast four days later — Wednesday , Feb. 5 (7:30-9 p.m. EST). Jason Robards Jr. has the title role in this adaptation of Robert Sherwood's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama. Copies of a study guide to the program, prepared by the National Council of Teachers of English, are being sent to schools for student use and to NBC-TV affiliate stations for distribution at the closed-circuit showing. The closed-circuit preview will be shown from 2:30-4 p.m. EST in the East and Mid-West and repeated at 5:30 p.m. EST for viewing on the West Coast. Teachers of English, drama and history from junior high schools, high schools and colleges in the various station areas will be invited to the closed-circuit showings. "Abe Lincoln in Illinois" covers the 30 years in Lincoln's life from 1830 to i860, at which time he left Springfield, Ill. for Washington, D. C. and the Presidency.
