NBC COLOR TELEVISION NEWS January 24 , 1964 ENGLAND’S DIRK BOGARDE TO MAKE HIS U.S. TV DRAMA DEBUT IN ’LITTLE MOON OP ALBAN’ ON 'HALLMARK HALL OF FAME’ To Play Opposite Julie Harris in New Color Production; Alan Webb and Liam Redmond Also Signed for Cast Dirk Bogarde, English motion picture star, will make his U. S. television debut in a dramatic role in "Little Moon of Alban" on the Wednesday, March 18 "Hallmark Hall of Fame" color telecast (NBC -TV, 7 : 30-9 p.m. EST) . Bogarde will play opposite Julie Harris in the role of Kenneth Bcyd, a critically wounded British soldier. Miss Harris, as announced, will play the role of Brigid Mary, a nursing sister, in the new production of the James Costigan drama. Originally presented on the "Hallmark Hall of Fame" in 1958, at which time it was awarded 12 major TV citations, the new production of "Little Moon of Alban" will be produced and directed by George Schaefer. Also signed for the new production are Alan Webb, currently appearing on Broadway in "The Chinese Prime Minister," and the wellknown Irish actor Liam Redmond. Webb will play Dr. Clive and Redmond will be seen as Father Curran in the drama set in Ireland during the Irish Rebellion of 1916-21. Redmond was seen earlier this season as Gonzalo in Hallmark’s presentation of the Shakespearean classic "The Tempest."
