January 1947 13 Ty Krum, NBC’s roving “Veterans’ Advisor,” is shown at three more local stations in his cross-country fact-finding mission. The indefatigable Ty stopped of) at KHQ in Spokane, where he talked with Mel Derry (right photo), pilot of Mamer-Shreck Air Transport, on “Veterans in Aviation.” During his jaunt up the East Coast Ty took his mission to Baltimore veterans over W BAL, with the assistance of IT BAL special services director John J. One of the features of KTAR’s (Phoenix) “Arizona Highlights” series was the appearance of General Jonathan W'ainwright.
