This lantern is similar, optically, to the “Demonstrator’s ” lanterns on the foregoing pages, but IS provided with a cylindrical body of bronzed brass and a rotating base board which is very convenient whenever it is required to turn the lantern at an angle trom the screen, as for example in many refraction and reflection experiments. The height to the centre of the condensers is far greater than usual and allows of a spectrum burner, Bunsen burner, or other apparatus being introduced if necessary.
