For a payment of fifteen shillings (15s.) made in advance, a course of 5 sets of Slides will be supplied on loan during any one Term. A suitable Beading, specially compiled to accompany the Slides, will be sent with each set. The five sets may be chosen from the following : “British Dominions beyond the Sea." “ British Battles.” Lecture I. „ „ Lecture II. “ Common Insects.” “ Gordon and Khartoum.” “ Hidden Beauties of Nature.” “ Jeanne d’Aro.” “ The Moon.” “Prehistoric Man in Great Britain.” “ Pond Life.” “ Shakespeare and ' Henry V.’ ” “ Some Great Artists of the XIXth Century,” “ Westminster Abbey.” “ Stones of the Old Roman Forum.” “ The Commoner Birds Of our Gardens,” " The British Empire.” Plain Slides of Green’s and Gardiner’s Histories, bn pages 218 to 230, are lent at the' rate of 50 Slides for 3s. for one evening. All the Slides lent on hire are sent out unmounted (not in frames) so that they can go by Fared Post. Carriers for unframed Slides are sold only (2s. or 3s. each) and are not lent out on hire. Descriptive Readings to accompany Slides are stocked for Sale, but if desired, copies can usually be sent on hire for a small fee. In order to prevent mistakes hirers should quote Subject, Code Letters, and Catalogue Page. The hirer is responsible for the safety, cither in transit or otherwise , of any Apparatus or Slides borrowed, until received back by Messrs. Newton, but if the Slides are sent by Post, the hirer may be relieved of this responsibility by the payment of a fee of 4d. to Messes. Newton, who will then take all risks of damage in transit both going and returning. It will be taken for granted that the hirer wishes this fee to be charged unless notice is given to the contrary. The Slides must not be kept beyond the time they were originally booked for, unless h special agreement, and it is most particularly requested that the Slides maybe returned, careuge paid, by the first passenger train in the morning, or by the first parcel post, after ‘he Exhibition. Orders for Slides, <&c., are booked in advance without extra charge, but for every postponement of date or cancellation of order, a charge of Is. is incurred.
