TENOR SOLOS 35 By Harold Jarvis with orchestra It is with pleasure that the Victor offers five solos by this favorite tenor. In the cities of Canada and the Middle States Mr. Jarvis is a great favorite, and we predict that he will make new admirers through his records. NUMBER SIZE 5526 Guard While I Sleep 10 A beautiful hymn which is an especial favorite in the Middle West. Mr. Jarvis sings it reyerently, with a most distinct enunciation of the words. 5486 March of the Cameron Men * © 10 5487 My Ain Countree Lee 10 A beautiful old hymn, which was always a favorite in the Moody and Sankey meetings. 31706 The Deathof Nelson Braham 12 This famous song was composed by JARVIS John Braham about 1810, and formed part of the comic opera, The Americans, produced at the Lyceum Theatre, London, in 1811. The stirring patriotism of the number insured its success at once; but it has besides unusual dramatic qualities—such as its effective commencement in recitative, and the refrain, quoting the immortal words of the great commander. 31714 The Ninety and Nine Campion 10 By Seftor Guetary with orchestra 5524 Maria—Spanish Ballad (Vision d’amour) Guetary 10 A most delightful Spanish song, composed and sung by a famous tenor. Senor Guetary’s pure and finely modulated voice is shown to great advantage in this lovely ballad. By Harvey Hindermeyer with orchestra The Victor has added a new tenor to its list of singers, and it is freely predicted that he will be warmly welcomed by all who hear these two records. Mr. Hindermeyer’s enunciation is refreshingly clear, a quality which is still unfortunately rare among American singers. 5599 There’s Nothing in the World Like Love Madden-Blanke 10 5598 When Jack Comes Sailing Home Bayes-Norworth 10 HINDERMEYER By James McCool with orchestra 4594 Believe Me if All Those Endearing Young Charms 10 4212 Kilkenny Old Irish 10 A favorite old Irish air describing the fair colleens of Kilkenny, the likes of which were never seen! 4517 Meeting of the Waters Moore 10 5059 The Girl I Left Behind Me Lover 10 4848 ‘Those Evening Bells 10 The music of this old English number is attributed to Beethoven, while the words are by Moore. The melody isa plaintive one and suggests the pealing of bells.
