The local radio station again came through with considerable free time, with Johnny Gilbert playing the star interview disc on the day befora opening, on his popular afternoon program. The LISTEN LADIES contest is still going strong, with this week's personality being Jane Powelk ... Total cost, two pairs of ducata, Al gets excellent theatre and pic coverage daiiy over this popular show. Displays were set up again in both the Metropolitan store and the Genosha Hotel. CAPITOL = PETUERBORO Len has submetted some nice publicity on his date on WINNING TEAM, He had one of his ushers, dressed in baseball uniform ... promoted from a local sporting geods dealer = touring the city streets at peak hours, placarded of carse, with good selling copy o.> Len promoted a good sized table model baseball game from Millard's sport shop, and used this as a draw for the youngsters during the Saturday matinee ..o. and don’t think the smail fry didn't hang on to their ticket stubs with both fists awaiting the outcome of the draw ... In return for being permitted to give away the game ... Millard's put in an excellent window tying in with the same feature, Sinee Doris Day stars in the picture, Len persuaded the lads on G H E X to air several of her popular songs ... naturally with accompanying theatre and pic plugs. Two-column scenes in both the Review and Lekefield News on off-theatre pages, wind up Len's contribution this wesk. GAPITOL ~ NORTH BAY That Little red scrap book is here ..let's see what’s cookin" oo Nerth Bay Confections xan a 340 Line ad in the Nugget, giving WAR OF THE WORLDS more than half the total space ;.. Bob had one of his good lookin’ gals in a fortune teller's get-up out on the street, looking into a erystal ball and prophesying a WAR OF HE WORLDS ooo simple and effective, Maddock Motors devoted a generous portion of their air time to BUNCO SQUAD, and seeing into the future with the latest in the Buick line. The Nugget printed scenes on both BUNCO SQUAD and BUFFY OF SAN QUENTIN on off=theatre pages, Bob invited one of the @ F C H ennouncers to see the first performance of ALOHA NUI, and the lad came through with some very fine publicity on his Hollywood Review program, —_
