DIG THOSE CRAZY "B" DRUM-BEATS
So ... here we are again, with an up-to-the-minute account of the activities of our gang of go-gettin’ Ballyhocers ... well, I suppose I should qualify that ... but you can do it for ne after you have studie@ the summaries which follow ..
I am going to try and pack two weeka!' entries into this issue, which will bring us up to the end of January ..oand give me a chance to work out the score-board in time for our next issue. I think there are going to be some changes in the standings oo. but, first things first ... we'll talk more about that next week. ‘
First let us take a quick look at the U.S. trade press for the past week ... I see where Bob Harvey hes knocked off a Seroll of Honour, in the January 29th edition of MOTION PICTURE HERALD. Congratulations Bob ... Keep 1% up. I was just a little disappointed at not seeing the name of a single Ballyhooer among the Citation winners for this quarter ... What gives? In the same issue, Art Cauley gets mention for one of his deals.
S.T.R. under date of January 29th comes through with an excellent story on Len Gouin's treatment of SECRET CONCLAVE, when it played his house ... BOXOFFICE under same date carries a pieture and story of George Forhan Jr's. BRIGADOON campaign, also brief storios on Bob Harvey and Paul Turnbull. What's with the rest of you guys? Tired?
I have on my desk a campaign ... without a doubt one of the finest to have reached me at least since the start of our current §$.0.S. drive. The subject ... SEVEN BRIDES. The guy, Art Gauley. Art hastens to add that this is only his pre-opening campaign ... with more, plenty more to follow next week. The lads really in the groove ... and what a solling job he did on this one. You know ... a'’fuuny ... but his business on the first three days is the biggest we have seen in Peterboro in ages ooo Must be a connection there somewhere ... don't you think? But, complete details may be found under the heading, PARAMOUNT = Peterboro, under date of January 29¢h.
And now, let's get the show on the road ... first section covering entries for woek ending January 22nd. Second section for w/e January 29th. Let's go ooo

She also placed a huge time-bomb display om the sidewalk with Similar copy, to attract the passers-by.
Olga doesn't neglect her confection sales ... This week she concentrated on selling her Buttercup popcorn, and had huge yellow footsteps stencilled, leading from the boxoffice, through
