Jane Baker penned a very nice story about Donald O'Connor, one of the stars in Mel's feature, in her column ... and throw in a couple of free plugs for Mel's Famous Fun Festival.
Beth © K 0 C and C H ML deejays have been plugging music fron both SHOWBIZ and YOUNG AT HEART ... and GC HC H = TV also came through with seme good plugs. Tho 26 G.E. dealers in an around Hamilton still displaying the SHOWBIZ displays ... and are committed to do so right to the bitter end oo.
Mel's Famous Fan Festival gaining in popularity, and garnering much free space in the pages of the Spectator ... The Spee ineidentally, pays for ali the prizes handed eut to the Lusky youngaters. Large display posters still being displayed im the main window of the Spectator.
Mel has & new contest starting this week ... Youngsters are asked to write "Why I would like to be a theatre manager ..." The winner to receive three books ef F.P. tickets good fer any of the Saturday ayem shows, and to be named "Manager for a Day" which, when the time comes, showld garmer Mel more excellent newspaper publicity.
