THE OPTICAL MAGIC LANTERN JOURNAL AND PHOTOGRAPHIC ENLARGER. A Magazine of Popular Science for the Lecture-room and the Domestic Circle. Published on the 15th of each month. Vol. 1—No. 5. [sectionces Har. OCT. 15, 1889. Price One Penny. The Beacon (Chicago) says: “This modest yet ambitious Journal has been received, and we may say at once that we like it very much. Its ambitious title shows that it means to become a power in one of the -most important branches of photography, the lantern and enlarging. Exception may be taken to our classing the lantern as a branch of photography, but it zs one, and a very important one, nevertheless. The numbers received show both ability and power of selection, and we have no hesitation in predicting a great future for the A/agzc Lantern Fournal. “From the replies I have received to my queries from various firms, I should think the Journal is likely to be well supported by the trade as well as by amateurs to whom it should be most welcome. { wish it every success.” : Rev.
