CERTAIN improvements in illuminating by incandescence are said to be on the verge of being introduced, and it is claimed that a particular incandescer which can be applied to paratiin lamps, will increase the illuminating power 40 per cent. and at the same time decrease the consumption of oil 33 per cent. Should this prove correct, lanternists will await with interest the introduction of this incandescer.
