Therc has been great difficulty in obtaining suitable Vacuum Tubes for producing the Réntgen XN Rays for photographic purposes, chiefly because the best conditions were not known. A long series of careful experiments has been made, to ascertain the conditions of success, at King’s College, London, which has resulted in a tube of different shape, size,and degree of vacuum to those previously employed. One important result of this is that far less current can be employed, and that a simp’c battery and coil may be used without Tesla apparatus.
