A Revolving Light Slide.—For a long time past Mr. 1. H. Wilkie has been experimenting in order to make a mechanical slide of (say) the Statue of Liberty, a lighthouse, or other showing the effect of a revolving light. We learn that be has at last succeeded in making the rays to appear to bave a horizontal motion, so that they seem to travel across the front of the picture, and then round the back, leaving the statue or lighthouse standing out in relief. This mechanical motion has, we understand, never before been attempted in connection with lantern slide
effects.
