“New York” is to be the first epic of the life growth of a city perpetuated in celluloid. It is being made in the year which celebrates the 300th anniversary of the city’s foundation, and is to be the romance of that city, told in story form, right up to the present day. The scene reproduced above has been obtained by the happiest of coincidences. In the centre of the picture, right beneath the word “world’s,” is the building which was demolished to make way for the mighty Paramount Theatre and Head Office Building, now approaching completion. The finished edifice will tower twelve stories over the tallest building in the vicinity. Page Thirty-Eight.
