Adolph Zukor and Jesse L. Lasky present, with this picture, one of the mightiest and most moving epics of the screen for all time. City of joys, of thrills, of sensations and romance — such is New York, the city that has grown to its present eminence in 300 years.

Dwan made “Night Life of New York” as a feature picture. But now he has been entrusted with the far mightier task of telling, in story, the romance of the growth of the same big city. It is a colossal undertaking, and Paramount promises in the finished production one of the really big epics in filmdom’s history.
Further announcements of Stars, Featured Players and other details will be made from time to time.
UNIOH RAM
There are many stories continually being told of the rapid growth of the city of New York — of a building being torn down as a man is going to work in the morning, and of tenants being evicted from the new building for refusal to pay rent by the time he is coming home in the evening.
And New York must have grown somewhat at that rate to have reached just where it has in 300 years. So a mighty Paramount picture is to be made to reveal that growth; but only to show it as the background to a fascinating romance woven by Sinclair Lewis, author of “Main Street," “Babbitt’ and many other notable books.
