BELLE BENNETT, TOM FORMAN, MAE MURRAY IN "SWEET KITTY BELLAIRS" as one of the most important in the industry. Geraldine Farrar, now one of his top stars, made "Maria Rosa" and "Joan The Woman" which Cecil B. de Mille directed. It was made on an elaborate scale with thousands of extras participating, and it was a forerunner of many of the de Mille spectacles to come. Mae Murray, a Follies beauty, was signed and made her screen debut in "To Have and To Hold." Blanche Sweet, Fannie Ward and Marie Doro were bright stars on the Lasky lot and Miss Doro re-created the title role of her stage success, "Oliver Twist." Wallace Reid was leading man to most of the important stars and was building a fan following that soon led to stardom. At Famous Players, Marguerite Clark, Pauline Frederick, Hazel Dawn and John Barrymore were emoting for their public, and Ann Pennington, another Follies dimpled doll, made her film debut in "Susie Snowflakes."
