MICKEY DANIELS MARY KORNMAN "OUR GANG" Hal Roach, who had great success with Harold Lloyd comedies, struck another gold mine when late in 1922 he produced the first of his "Our Gang" comedies. In his original gang were Mickey Daniels, Jackie Condon and Sunshine Sammy. This threesome was soon joined by Fat Joe Cobb, Farina, Mary Kornman, "Pete" (a dog), and Jackie Davis. From year to year, "Our Gang" comedies became more popular, and as the kids outgrew their roles, others joined the gang. Among the famous alumni are Johnny Downs, "Stymie," Jean Darling" and Jackie Cooper.
