It is not a game at all, but a science so old that its origin was before the days of the Chaldeans. The Egyptians studied it way back in the days of Ptolemy, and, even in this sceptical age, astrology has its devout disciples. It is only natural to suppose that the moon and stars influence human life just as they influence the tides and the earth, only in a greater degree. Astrologers have divided the inhabitants of this planet, we call the earth into twelve distinct types, each governed by that particular planet or group of stars predominant in the heavens at the time they were born. Certain attributes, talents, and faults are common to them, and each one of the twelve groups has its own sign which is known as one of the signs of the Zodiac. January's sign is Capricornus, the Goat, and its ruling planet is Saturn To the children of Saturn belong conscientiousness in great measure, a high moral sense, and a wholehearted devotion to duty. Anything they seriously -pursue they will make successful, but only after a struggle. These are general traits, and with them go the ability to fight and overcome many' obstacles in order to obtain things which are theirs by right. And they need this power and grit, believe me, for though certain days are very lucky, others born towards the end of the STEWART ROME, Jan. 30. month have to work and TURIN fight tooth and nail to get anywhere near the top. They do get there, but it is by their own untiring effort; Fortune seldom showers unsought benefits upon them. Many Kinema stars first saw the light in January, and it may interest my readers to compare dates, for astrology does not lie and they will find their own characteristics unfailingly described should their birthday tally with these dates. Usually possessed of splendid health and vitality arc January 3 subjects. Jupiter is their star and Jupiter is the luckiest of all the stars. Real disaster never approaches those born upon this date, things seem disheartening at times, but they invariably right themselves. Opportunity comes to these lucky ones as it comes to few otheri, they are born to inherit the really big things in the world. Their ailments, if any, are mental only, but they should beware of knives or any other sharp implement as these spell danger for them. They should marry somebody whose birthday falls upon the 9th, 18th, or 27th of any month. January 30 subjects never forget an injury or betrayal of trust. They forgive, quite fully and freely, but pride is their strongest trait ; and this makes them remember. Self-respect and self-confidence is theirs in full measure, but not so full as to become aggressiveness. They should marry people born on the 9th, 18th or 2nd of any-month.
