An improbable, but well-told tale of a schoolgirl's escapade which involved her in a romance. The stars are Pauline Garon, Jack Mulhall, and Alice Lake. Harmless entertainment. The Net (Fox; April 14). Rapid-action melodrama, quite well directed and lavishly produced. Cast includes Barbara Castleton, Albert Roscoe, Raymond Bloomer, Wm. Tooker, Helen Tracy, Elijah Nadel and Claire de Lorez. North of the Yukon (April 24). Tom Mix in a frozen North thriller, performing as many daring feats as ever, though not on horseback this time. Kathleen Key opposite, also Frank Campeau, William Walling, Eugene Pallette, and Jennie Lee. Good thrillful fare. The Pride of Palomar (Paramount; April 28). Sincere romantic drama about a struggle between a Japanese and an American for a Californian rand. Excellent direction by Frank Borzage and adequate acting by Forrest Stanley, Marjorie Daw, Joseph Dowling, Warner Oland, Jessie Hebbard, and Alfred Allen. The Prince and the Pauper (Pathe; April 14). A very fair kinematisation of Mark Twain's charming story, featuring Tibor Lubin in the two principal roles. Clever double photography and some artistic pageant and crowd effects. Railroaded (European; April 28). Herbert Rawlinson as the crook son o^ a famous judge in a story of vengeance which never materialises. Esther Ralston, David Torrence, Alfred Fisher, Lionel Belmore, Mike Donlin and Herbert Foster support. Fair entertainment. The Royal Oak (Stoll; April 7). Costume melodrama starring Betty Compson, Clive Brook. Henry Victor, Henry Ainley and Peter Dear. A Maurice Elvey production. Good sentimental fare. Sinner or Saint (Vitagraph; April 7). A society story in which Betty BIythe and her dresses are the main attractions. William P. Carleton opposite, also Fuller Agnes Ayres in " A Daughter of Luxury."
