Picture Pla^ February, 1929 Volume XXIX Number 6 DESSIE LOVE, who is seen ■ on the screen too little, and Anita Page, who can't be seen often enough, form a captivating team of vaudeville dancers in "The Broadway Melody," a picture which will add to the glamour and romance of backstage life. Miss Love, as "Hank" Mahoney, and Miss Page, as her sister, Queenie, come to New York to dance in a musical comedy through the influence of Eddie Kerns, a song writer, who expects to marry Hank. But his affections take a surprising turn when he sees Queenie grown up, and after considerable emotional upheaval, Hank makes a sisterly sacrifice and leaves Broadway with a breaking heart and another partner.
