A one- line part in George Formby’s “ Turned Out Nice Again" was followed by a tiny part in “ Pimpernel Smith.” He wras then given a s’zable role in “ Ships With Wings, followed by leading roles in “Tower of Terror” and “ The Big Blockade.” The war interrupted his acting career.
