Aldo says that his gravel voice runs through the family—his father and his brothers also possess it. Black-haired and eyed Estelita was bora in J uanara,' Cuba, the daughter of the Chief of Police of that town, and made her first professional appearance at the age of nine over the radio. She made her film debut in Mexicana, and has recently appeared in The Fabulous Senorita. John Wayne was a footballer before he became a property boy. In The Big Trail he became John Wayne—since when he has appeared in nearly ninety films. His son, Pat, the third of his four children—Michael, bom 1934, Antonia, bora 1936, Pat, bom 1939, and Melinda, bom 1941—is following in his father’s footsteps. He made his screen debut in Rio Grande and appeared with him in The Quiet Man. Estelita is seen on the left with her tiny black poodle puppy. She has been named the " Jet Bombshell ” by the moviegoers’ Club in Havana.
